Muddy Waters Foundation Booth at Chicago Blues Festival, June 8-10

If you’re headin' out to the Chicago Blues Festival, the largest free blues festival in the world, this weekend (June 8 – 10), come visit the Muddy Waters Foundation booth in the Wrigley Square section of Millennium Park.  Stop by to find out info on foundation initiatives like Blues in Schools, Supporting Blues Musicians and Providing Blues Experiences and other worthwhile programs the foundation is working hard on with the sole purpose of keeping the blues alive, just like Muddy would’ve wanted it.  While you’re at it, pick-up an exclusive Muddy Waters/Kobra t-shirt featuring artwork from the ten-story mural of Muddy by the Brazilian Street artist (located in Chicago at 17 North State Street, at the corner of State and Washington Streets), or the new Third Man Records reissue of the 1968 classic Electric Mud, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.  Then stay for some of the best blues music north of Mississippi from headliners the Little Walter Tribute Band (Saturday) and the incomparable Mavis Staples (Sunday).
